Camp Lottery & Refunds -- camping dates are assigned via a lottery, which is held in December (we will be notified of our specific date by 12/31/07).  If the date does not work with the Scout's schedule, the deposit can refunded if requested by 5/1/08.

Medical Forms -- all Scouts and Adults must have the following Medical Forms filled out and with them when they arrive at camp:

ScoutsClass I Medical Form (signed by parent) -- good for 1 year.
AdultsClass I Medical Form (signed by the Adult) -- good for 1 year.

Two-Deep Leadership:
Each Pack is responsible for the leadership of their own Scouts.  We must have at least one Adult older than 21 in camp at all times.

The Boy Scouts of America (and Cub Scouts) uses a Leadership Policy called "Two-Deep Leadership", which means there should always be a minimum of two adults and two Scouts together.  In other words, an Adult should never be alone with Scouts, expect a parent/guardian with their own son.

This policy is in effect at Webelos Mini-Camp.  However, since each Pack shares a campsite with other Packs, the entire campsite is considered as one "pack" and "group leadership" is allowed.

Leader's Guide -- all Adults that will be attending Webelos Mini-Camp should review the following Leader's Guide prior to attending camp (click on the link to open and view the document, right-click it to download it to your PC):  Webelos Mini-Camp Leaders Guide (2008)

Additional Information -- for additional information about Webelos Mini-Camp, see the St. Louis Area Council's website (Cub Scout Summer Camp page) at http://www.stlbsa.org/Camping/Summer+Camps/Cub+Scouts/

Parent Notes:

Accommodations:  Tents provided (but it is OK to bring your own tent if you wish)
We must carry our gear from the parking area to our campsite -- a Red Wagon is good to have, it can be a pretty long walk
Be prepared for Raccoons in our campsite -- don't leave any food inside your tent
See Suggested Equipment List (page 14 in Leaders Guide)
Discipline is the Pack Adult's responsibility (not the camp staff's)
There is a structured program, but the Pack will also have some free time to work on Webelos Activity Badges
