Scouting is a year-round program, and the purpose of the National Summertime Pack Award is to encourage packs to continue to meet during the summer.  Pack 30 has received this award for the last several years, and we are planning activities to allow us to qualify again this year.

The award has three components: a Pack Award, a Den Award, and an Individual Scout Award.

The following is a summary of the requirements and the awards:

National Summertime Pack Award - Pack Ribbon:  To qualify, the Pack must plan and conduct at least one Pack Activity each month during June, July and August.  Qualifying packs receive a colorful streamer (ribbon) for their pack flag.

Pack 30 will try to have at least two Pack Activities each month to allow more Dens and Scouts an opportunity to quality.

Check the "Pack Calendar" page for a list of Pack Activities that are scheduled during June, July and August.

National Summertime Pack Award - Den Ribbon:  Dens with at least 50% attendance at a Pack Activity each month of June, July and August will be eligible for a colorful den participation ribbon.

Make sure you sign the Attendance Sheet at each event so you get credit for attending.

National Summertime Pack Award - Individual Award:  Scouts that participate in at least one Pack Activity each month of June, July and August are eligible to receive the National Summertime Pack Award Pin, which they can wear on the right pocket flap of their uniform.
