CUB SCOUT PACK 88

CLINTON, MS

Cub Scout Pack 88 Code of Conduct

Please review this Code with your Cub Scout and family members, agree to abide by these rules and explain the consequences for not following the Code.

Please sign the agreement/participation statement/slip signifying you willingness to follow the Code, and then return the signed sheet to your Den Leader. These will be provided for each activity.

These rules and consequences for infractions will be reviewed periodically and apply to all Pack meetings, Den meetings, Campouts and Special events.

Thank you for your understanding that, while we want Cub Scouting to be a wonderful learning experience filled with fun, SAFETY and the consideration of others must always be our primary concern.

1. A parent is always responsible for his/her Cub Scout at all campouts and activities at all times. Only in Den meetings is a Leader in charge of your child and at which two-deep leadership will always be required. If the second registered leader is not present, we appreciate a parent staying for the meeting.

2. When the Scout Sign goes up, All (Cubs, Parents and siblings) please get quiet and stay quiet.

3. The parents are completely in charge of the siblings at all times. No exceptions.

4. There will be no name calling, hitting, grabbing, fighting, poking or throwing any object(s) at or on any person(s).

5. Cubs, use the buddy system, stay with your buddy.

6. Cub Scouts and siblings need to see the campsite perimeter at all times unless on a den/family outing away from camp. If he can't see our camp, he's gone out too far.

7. During campouts, the Cub Scout and his siblings must observe the same bedtime as the parent(s). All must observe designated quiet time and lights out.

8. Your tent is just for family members day and night and is off limits to others unless permission is granted by the adult owner.

9. If bicycles are brought they can only be ridden with the required safety helmet and on designated bike paths. The buddy system must be used while ridding and preferably an adult accompany the riders.

10. No running though the camp sites. Play areas will be set away from the camp sites, but within sight of the camping area.

11. Leave all electronics and game players at home (TV's, radios, game boys, etc.) Remember, we are here to enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors and the wonders in God's world.

12. No pets allowed (cats, dogs, guinea-pigs, etc). "No Exceptions"

13. Follow fire safety rules. Adults will be asked at times to monitor the camp fire. No playing with, jumping over or putting sticks in and out of the FIRE.

Adult Conduct Directives

1. Use a designated smoking area away from the children. This is Scout Policy.

2. Absolutely no alcohol or profanity.

3. Without yelling, please discipline your child in the privacy of your tent or away from the group.

Code of Conduct Infractions

Pack 88's leaders met and formulated our Pack's Code of Conduct to insure the safety of our boys and their sibling's, to provide the best possible atmosphere for participating in all of our Scouting activities, and to protect each person's heath and personal property.

1st Time a rule is not followed - A child will be warned and the Den Leader notified.

2nd Time - The child will be taken to the parent for disciplining. Den Leader notified/involved.

3rd Time - Cubmaster action. This could range from a time out session to a loss of privileges, or dismissal from the outing. For serious infractions by a child or an Adult, dismissal from the Pack is the ultimate consequence.
