Meeting was called to order by Nadine Hook. Others present were: Becky George, Jim George, Pops Griffin, Larry Groseclose, Jon Hoover, Rick Micolucci, Ray Ramberger, Tammy Ramberger, Mark Vining and Kelly Vining.

SCOUTMASTER - Pops reported:

• New Scouts: On February 24^th, attended the Blue/Gold Banquet for Pack 213 and one scout filled out an application and will return it (and attend) next Troop meeting on Thursday night. Pops asked that Advancement Chair award him Rank of Scout at Court of Honor Banquet. Another scout has filled out and returned an application to join the troop. He will be attending our Banquet and will also be awarded Rank of Scout during Court of Honor.
• Welcome Packets (updated) for new Scouts attending Banquet are needed. Secretary will handle.
• One Scout should be considered and asked to hold "Chaplin Assistant" position within the Troop, in light of his recent achievement of attaining all four Religious Emblems; God and Me, God and the Family, God and Church, and God and Life.
• Asked for clarification regarding money raised from Christmas Tree Sale held at Cameron’s last December. It was reported that "an adult committee member" was in charge" of that "fundraiser" and "the monies were to be divided amongst those who sold and placed in individual accounts". Pops was not aware of such arrangement and stated that information was not communicated to the entire Troop, as such, so only three individuals participated/benefited from the sale.
• Four Board of Reviews were approved and scheduled for March 1^st to include:

1. A Scout— 1^st Class
2. A Scout- Life
3. A Scout— 1^st Class
4. A Scout- Tenderfoot
• Active Status Policy definition reviewed and it was suggested that all scouts and parents be made aware of policy through a form which will be distributed to all scouts and require scout and parent signatures. The returned form would be kept on file. Secretary to print out form to be distributed at March 8^th meeting.

Next PLC meeting March 6^th, 2007 @ the George’s (7pm).

OUTDOORS — Ray reported:

Upcoming trips:

March 9-11 — Backpacking Trip to Ramberger’s Cabin. Permission slips to be distributed @ March 1^st meeting. This is a MANDITORY trip for all Scouts going to Philmont. Younger scouts will also participate.

March 25 — Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser @ Oxford Strike and Spare Lanes (9am).

March 25 — (tentative date) MANDITORY Philmont meeting for Youth/Parent Orientation @ Willistown United Methodist Church (has since been confirmed for March 27th).

March 31 — Shotgun @ Oxford Gun Club (10am). (Daytrip)

May 11-13 — Clearing the OACR grounds. Frank Spohr to be contacted regarding various

possible Eagle Projects.

July 8-14 — Summer Camp — $25.00 deposit and paperwork due on March 31^st. Important to secure "Kit Carson" camp site. Mark and Kelly Vining volunteered to be "point persons" for Summer Camp this year. All forms/info can be downloaded from Council website. Informational packets will be distributed at Banquet.

Larry Groseclose stated that Mark Groseclose was looking into the possibility for a kayaking or canoeing trip. Possible dates were discussed.

EQUIPMENT - Larry reported:

• Equipment Trailer - Mittal Steel (Mark Vining’s employer) to donate a large enclosed trailer in very good condition to Troop. Rehab will be necessary, as it has had little use but has been sitting for some time; to prepare it for inspection. Discussion regarding replacement of current smaller equipment trailer with this larger trailer. Old trailer tongue still in need of repair.
• Tent check — all accounted for at this time.
• Clean out locker at cabin to make room for storage of Klondike Derby sleds, etc. Suggestions were made to make this a planned/scheduled Troop meeting activity.
• Receipt given to Treaurer/Rick for expenses purchased at Walmart.

TREASURER - Rick reported:

• Review of Troop account and individual accounts. Discussion regarding outstanding 2006 summer camp money due from Name withheld.
• Trip Costs: reported that some of the scheduled trips are pricey. Suggestion to encourage Scouts to consider costs of trips when planning activity schedule for year.
• Bowl-A-Thon: see Outdoors Report - Upcoming trips.
• A vote was taken and Kelly Vining was approved to take over for Rick as Treasurer. Rick will work with Kelly to ensure a smooth transition.
• Checkbook Signature Card - Currently eligible to sign checks are: Joanne Bagley (former Advancement Chair), Ron "Pops" Griffin (Scoutmaster), Rick Micolucci (current/outgoing Treasurer) and Eric Todd; to remove: Joanne Bagley and Eric Todd; to add: Jim George (new Advancement Chair) and Kelly Vining (incoming Treasurer). Rick to handle.

PUBLIC RELATIONS - Jon reported:

Continues to post numerous new photos from past scouting events on the website.

SECRETARY - Becky reported:

Banquet:

• Girl Scouts (4) will be serving and cleaning up. Nadine to handle "letter" of service time.
• Appreciation Awards were discussed — Nadine and/or Becky to handle.
• Invitations went out; response has been light w/ approximately 35 RSVP’s, hopeful more will be coming in (76+ in attendance).
• Receipt for postage to mail invitations given to Treasurer/Rick.
• Receipt for purchase of two/four Religious Emblems for Name withheld as they were earned and awarded as a Boy Scout. Other two were paid for by family (as they were earned but never awarded to Kurt as a Cub Scout and Webelo Scout)

OLD BUSINESS — none

NEW BUSINESS —

April 21 — Mulch Sale; Ray to be "point-person" again this year and he will distribute paperwork at banquet. Discussed pricing for per bag and bulk, delivery cost, date and time.

Chicken BBQ — Nadine to check with Grange for available dates this spring. Vi Carter has current food handler’s license, so she will be involved.

Next meeting will be held on March 27^th, 2007 @ 7:00.

(Rescheduled for Tuesday, March 20^th, due to conflict with rescheduled MANITORY Philmont meeting for youths and adults for same night).
