CHAIRMAN — Bill reported:

2008 Recharter of Troop #13 — Paperwork completed and submitted to Council, January 3^rd, 2008.

SCOUTMASTER - Pops reported:

Klondike Derby information received via email 2 weeks before scheduled event — spoke to Council about delay?

Summer Camp — Pops is attending; needs additional adults to commit. Kelly Vining volunteered to oversee the paperwork again this year.

Upcoming Events include:

• Friday, February 1^st — 3^rd — Camping trip to Camp Ware
• Tuesday, February 5^th - Next PLC meeting @ the Vining’s home @ 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, March 1^st - Annual Awards Banquet: Masonic Temple in Oxford, PA @ 6pm. Vi Carter will handle the food, menu is set, Girl Scouts to help serve/clean up. Secretary will send out invitations and handle RSVP’s; special guests were discussed, as was the cost of the banquet. It was decided to raise fee from $8..00/person to $10.00/person. Committee decided to ask Troop parents to supply various desserts, to reduce cost of banquet.
• Community Service Time opportunities: February 23^rd — Cub Scout Pack #213 Banquet @ Oxford Presbyterian Church @ 6pm and March 29^th — Boy Scout Troop #44 Banquet @ Oxford Presbyterian Church @ 6pm. Need scouts to help!
• May — Chix BBQ? Further discussion next meeting. Secretary to contact Nadine Hook/Grange for available dates in May.

OUTDOORS — Ray reported:

• January 18^th thru 21^st — Ski/Snow Tubing Trip to Jack Frost/Big Boulder; TRIP CANCELLED due to lack of interest!
• February 1^st thru 3^rd - Ware Camp; Bill Day in charge. Cabin has been secured for $189/weekend. Klondike Derby will be held the weekend before, 7 scouts and 4 adults are signed up; to work on various merit badges for Rank Advancement.
• March 14^th thru 16^th — Sledding Trip @ Ramberger’s cabin; Ray Ramberger in charge.

• Saturday, April 26^th — Annual Mulch Sale Fundraiser
• April 25^th thru 27^th — TRIP CANCELLED (following weekend is May trip).
• May 2^nd thru 4^th — Orienteering Trip @ French Creek; Ray Ramberger in charge.
• June — Ranch in VA; to contact former member to coordinate - REASSIGNED.

• July — BS Summer Camp
• August TBA — Beach Trip

ADVANCEMENT — Jim reported:

Completed Board of Reviews:

• One Scout— Advance to Tenderfoot
• Various Scouts to receive Merit Badges and Advancement Rank patches at upcoming Awards Banquet.

EQUIPMENT — Larry reported:

• Dining Fly needed; 20’ X 12’ w/ 8 legs was decided for purchase.
• Canoe Trailer was discussed; Ray Ramberger has a trailer which is in need of repair, but would suffice. Committee to look at it and decide at a later date; price negotionable.

TREASURER — Kelly reported:

• NO REPORT

PUBLIC RELATIONS - Jon reported:

• Oxford Tribune printed two articles about Troop #13; Bridge Building and Philmont Trip.
• Updated website
• Requesting Merit Badge Counselor list to be updated and posted to website.

SECRETARY - Becky reported:

• Working on Banquet Invitations to mail out this week.

• Christmas Tree Sales @ Cameron’s — J.B. and Beverly Jones will be contacts/coordinating on weekends in December. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Troop #13 — final tally ??? Discussion…

On a motion by Bill Day, seconded by Committee, the meeting was adjourned @ 8:45 p.m. by a unanimous vote.

Next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 @ 7:00.
