PACK 89 Events and Photos

(Just a few photos from some of the fun events that Pack 89 participated in over the last year, backwards from the most recent.)

Pack Summer 2008 Special Activities

The pack planned a special fun activity for each month this summer.

In August we toured the African American Museum at Fair Park in Dallas.

In July we did something really "cool", we skated at the Stars Center.

In June we attended an Airhogs baseball game. We also saw a pre-game concert and post-game fireworks. A couple of our scouts and leaders also got to participate in a special contest on the field.

Cub Scout Day Camp - June 9-13, 2008

A whole week of fun activities at Camp Wisdom. Pack 89 was part of the Japan patrol as part of the Cub Scout Olympics theme. There was a neat opening ceremony, we built bat houses to help our environment, had Olympic contests, and got to make a neat patrol flag.

We built and launched rockets ("Atomic Javelins). We participated in Archery and BB guns every day, along with close supervision and safety training. By the end of the week we had some real good shots...

The pool and water games were fun on those hot days, especially those days when we went cave exploring or did fun service projects.

Fishing Derby - May 3, 2008

Blue and Gold Banquet - February 22, 2008

We had our Blue and Gold at the Cedar Hill Recreation Center this year. Lots of special presentations, Scouts receiving their rank awards, and a great Boston Market dinner. (Pictures to come)

Scouting for Food - February 2008

One of our important community service events. The kids had lots of fun delivering bags and then picking up donated food for the Cedar Hill Food Pantry over two weekends.

Pinewood Derby - January 19, 2008

We had lot's of fun and fast cars again this year. As usual the scouts did a great job of designing and buidling some great entries. There was some close racing action and lots of winners.

Webelos-N-Woods at Camp Wisdom - November 2-4, 2007

Pack 89 Webelos got to camp with the Boy Scouts at Camp Wisdom, participate in some of the fun activities they will be doing when they cross over to Boy Scouts!

Country Day on the Hill Parade - October 13, 2007

Pack 89 marched in the parade along with many other scouts from Wisdom Trail.
